Collection: Mario Lorenzin 1975

Mario Lorenzin began his apprenticeship as a barber at the age of 11, and two years later he completed his training as a hairstylist in Treviso, Italy. Very soon after that, Mario Lorenzin began to lose his hair, which made him skeptical of modern, synthetic hair care products.

Like many other barbers, he had heard rumors that a traditional formula based on the locally grown radicchio plant was said to keep hair healthy and well-groomed. Lorenzin therefore spent seven years searching for the recipe, reading ancient books, and visiting laboratories. Fortunately, his efforts paid off, as he ended up with a radicchio-based hair treatment that delivered excellent results for the hair and scalp. The radicchio plant is known for strengthening and nourishing the hair, promoting hair growth, and minimizing and preventing scalp irritation, itching, and similar issues.

Later, he developed a range of other hair care products for both women and men, including shampoo, hair wax, and hair oil, as well as a Body Wash. In 2014, the product line was expanded to include a beard care series made from radicchio and all-natural oils. These effective products are all handmade in Italy and available here at Proshave.
